This page is intended to let you know just a few of the most popular styles of cases we build, and give you a chance to see some photos of our work. Please do not think these are the only styles of cases we build. We are a custom case manufacturer. Let us know what you want and we will design a custom case to suit your particular needs.
Some of these cases can be purchased directly from our online store as standard cases. We do not keep a rolling stock of the standard cases, so build times will still be involved.

Instrument and Amplifier Cases
Your choice of construction; lightweight for flying, or heavy weight for road work. Full custom fit foam insert to match your instrument. String and strap storage area is standard on all stringed instrument cases. We want you to decide based on what you plan to do with the case, not the price. FLight Panel™ cases are slightly more expensive, about 5-7% depending on the case, however, you will see less expense at the ticket counter. The general rule is if you fly often choose FLight Panel™ if your gear travels more by truck or bus and trailer, then choose birch ply.

Rack Cases
Rack cases are also available in FLight Panel™ or 3/8" Birch Plywood. Again, we want you to decide based on what you plan to do with the case, not the price. Rack cases are available in 3 versions, Standard Racks or Non-Shock Mounted, Shock Mounted Racks and Birch Racks with Lid-Over Cases.
Standard Racks (non-shock)
These racks are recommended for personal use and only as a case, as they do not provide protection from dropping or other hard impacts. This means that if you do not plan on handling the rack yourself, you can't trust that your gear will be safe from harm. This type of case is less expensive, but needs more care in handling.
Shock Mounted Racks
These cases provide for both carrying ease and protection from impact. The FLight Panel™ version is considerably lighter than the plywood version yet more expensive. Both types shock mounted racks provide considerable protection for your equipment. we do not recommend FLight Panel™ for rack over 8 spaces deep. The increased interior weight by adding this much gear lessens the ability of the FLight Panel™ to provide adequate protection. If you are building a rack larger than 8 spaces, we recommend 3/8" Birch plywood racks.
When ordering a custom rack we need the following information.
- Rack Depth: This is the space allowed for the rack insert and is the same as the maximum equipment depth. This dimension does not include what we will add for lids. Our standard for this dimension is between 12" and 26" in 2" steps.
- Rack Rail Set Back: Normally this dimension is 1-1/4" both front and back. This is the dimension from the front edge of the insert to the rack rail. We can, however, adjust this as needed by the customer.
- Internal Rack Height in Rack Spaces: Rack spaces are the amount of space taken up by a 1U piece of equipment. 1U or 1 rack space is equal to 1-3/4" of vertical space. we will add a bit of wiggle room on the top and bottom to allow for easy installation and removal of your equipment.
Birch Racks with Lid-Over Cases
We also build Baltic birch racks that fit into a lid-over foam lined case. The racks are a type of shock mounted rack that tends to be slightly less expensive than a standard shock rack. The birch rack insert is finished with lacquer for a furniture like look and very durable. These racks are popular for churches and touring sound companies. the one pictured below was built for Sound Image to be used on tour with Taylor Swift.
Pro Audio Cases
Mixing console cases and equipment racks are probably the most common pro audio cases that we make. In order for us to build an accurate mixing console case, we most often will contact the manufacturer and try to get an accurate CAD drawing of the piece. However, if it is an older model, or it is out of production, we may have to depend on you for the measurements we need to design your case.
We build console cases with and without doghouses. A doghouse is an enclosed area behind the console that allows for storage of your interconnect cabling, as well as creating a clean look for productions.
